**Linux Engineer - 7+ months - Belgium/Brussels - Start May**
For our Client we are looking for a Linux Engineer to assist in; Advising, coordinating, and taking responsibility for analysis, implementation, and support solutions linked to the technical infrastructures in the Linux environment in order to improve the level and availability of the service.
Tasks:
- Develop appropriate and innovative solutions for technical infrastructures to meet the VSSE's questions
- Contribute to the operational management of the infrastructures to ensure the continuity of the service
- Coordinate activities to ensure that the infrastructure projects for which he is responsible are carried out in the best possible way
- Ensuring the monitoring of technical infrastructures so that they can evolve
- Define, establish and implement the documentation and procedures relating to technical infrastructures in order to optimise the management and maintenance of the technical infrastructure
- Participate in the supervision of the team's staff so that the expertise is developed and the quality of the service provided is optimized
- Fulfill the role of "domain manager" and "product manager" (when appointed as such) in order to determine the customer's vision in the intended domain
- Know, respect and apply the rules on information security at the VSSE in order to guarantee the continuity of the organisation, as well as the confidentiality, integrity and provision of the processed data
Requirements:
- Hold a "top secret" security clearance or be willing to obtain it
- 5 years of proven experience
- Dutch-speaking or French-speaking with an excellent knowledge of the other national language (Dutch or French) and of English
Project details:
- Start: May
- Duration: 7 months (+ option to extend)
- Workload: 5 days per week onsite in Brussels
- Location: Belgium, Brussels
- Language: English with either of Dutch or French
